Hot off the press today…

We’ve been on tenterhooks since August 1st, hoping for this to be released. More consideration and consultation, I’m afraid – “why can’t we get on with it”, some might say. However there is quite a lot to do this time for us. Every ward is being offered the opportunity to put their specific ideas forward. Camden is predominantly in Walcot ward with Camden Crescent itself in Lansdown. Walcot also covers ‘Lower Camden’ and the London Road. We also interconnect with Fairfield Park and Larkhall which are within Lambridge. Many of these areas also need consideration too.

Here is a link to the 20 page brochure about how liveable neighbourhoods might work in Bath.
Clean Air Zone perhaps?
I was grateful for the tip off from Chris Smith. Two camera units have been installed on lamp posts near Gay’s Hill facing in opposite directions. We’ll try and find out more…

The cameras are for the CAZ APNR .
They are on ALL entry and exit points to the CAZ across Bath
Yes, this concurs with others’ findings.
As you will recall the previous administration (and carried through by the current one) concluded that the CAZ only needs to be class āCā, to be sufficiently effective on NOx levels so the 40% of non-euro 6 compliant cars which would have been otherwise charged won’t be deterred in any way. This therefore will have very, very little effect upon traffic levels on Camden Road. Hence us looking for other traffic reduction measures.
