Clap for our carers this evening
It’s on again at 8pm. This time with pots, pans and trumpets and horns! This picture was placed outside Kingswood School. And an extra big clap for all those brave and generous souls looking after people in their homes too.
There’s been loads of admin stuff being done by Louise and myself to protect the CRA and its volunteers from any legal action – if, God forbid, something went ‘horribly wrong’. So volunteers will have just recently received an email asking them to go through an online process for 3SG – please do it as soon as you can. Meanwhile there’s lots of really good work going on in Camden, and slightly beyond, which will be great to hear about in due course.
I’ve also tidied up the ‘Coronavirus page’ on this web-site, here. If only my study was as well ordered!
Back to the slightly more banal…
Is this the end of life as we know it in Camden? The highly useful litter bin – you know – the one behind Upper Camden Place is now shrouded by a B&NES sack! Another local service gone for the time being.
And finally,
Here’s what you face at Waitrose. It’s all really organised: one out, one in. There’s a bit of musical entertainment on offer – worth taking some loose change for that… Also managed to get five expensive things, but with yellow reduction labels down to 10p!
Finally, finally. Whilst many of us with the time to do it are sorting out papers and generating large amounts of recyclable paper. The diligent council recyclers took ours away with no fuss. Thanks everyone for keeping going.
Re Waitrose … it’s worth pointing out the first hour after opening is reserved for elderly and vulnerable shoppers. It’s very civilized; you’re not asked to show proof of age!
