IT’S OUR ANNUAL SPRING PARTY ON SUNDAY
Hopefully you will have all received a flyer, seen a poster or been sent a text – our annual Spring party is this Sunday, May 25th at the Claremont Pub!! Kick off is at 2pm!
This year we are changing things up and moving from a street party to a PUB PARTY!
Franky has generously offered up his wonderful pub to host a variety of really fun Spring-themed activities. From our usual games and crafts for children, to a brand-new musical juke box event we know you are going to love, this Sunday promises to be an amazing day!
We will have special cocktails (by the jug!), special lunch and dinner items (jerk chicken!) and of course the cakes brought in by the Bake-Off contestants to sample.
But I think the thing we are most excited about is guitarist and legend Zac Ware, who will be leading a special sing-along version of his great Guitar Juke-Box session!!
So SPRING-ALONG to everyone’s favourite local pub, The Claremont – we will see you there!!

We will also be awarding prizes to any person with a suitably impressive Spring-themed attire! Let’s see your creativity people!!

4:15 LIVE MUSIC BEGINS
We are so excited that Franky has invited the amazing Zac Ware, guitarist extraordinaire, to recreate his famous Guitar Juke Box session, this time with an added mic in case you want to both request a song AND sing along with him!
From Zac’s website:
Zac’s Guitar Jukebox is my one man show with acoustic and electric guitar. The show is interactive. It is you the audience who choose the tunes I’ll play that night. A “menu” of nearly 200 songs is handed to the audience with a piece of paper and a pencil. You choose the music from the menu and hand in your order. Or shout it out if you prefer.
There’s something for everyone. I’ve learnt these songs for pleasure, to join bands or do one off events. Ballads and jazz stand proudly alongside dirty blues and spiky punk as well as some classic indie, pop and rock. Random medleys are created through the set from the titles given to me by the audience and as the crowd get more involved they start to shout out songs not on the list. But sometimes those tunes are somewhere in the back of the jukebox and a wee reminder from the internet makes for a spontaneous musical moment. I’m happy as an old song has been rediscovered and the punter is happy as I’ve just played his wife’s favourite tune.

Can’t wait to see you there!!!!
