Looking into Liveable Neighbourhoods
This comes from the Council’s guide to Liveable Neighbourhoods. As you can see, Camden Road and the neighbouring streets are included in the London Road and Snow Hill area. It’s useful to bear this in mind when looking at the Council’s proposals – they are intended to work across the whole area.

There are, as yet, no detailed proposals for our area whereas, if you look at Lower Lansdown and The Circus, you will see that there are specific measures that are currently being consulted on. We look forward to getting these for our area too.
One needs to remember the way things work.
2 years ago Low Traffic Neighbourhood bids were invited. These had to first be approved by ward councillors. 15 were to be taken forward in the first tranche. 3 have just been permanently approved. 5 more are to be subject to an 18 month consultation. That leaves several to be taken forward over coming years.
This is not a case of waiting for the council to do something in the Camden area. It is up to local residents and ward councillors to make proposals. If no-one does that unfortunately nothing will be done.
Why not form a group to discuss what is wanted by local residents?
Hello, Frank. Thanks for your interest. A bid was submitted for Walcot ward which included Camden. See here for the best summary of the situation: a href=”https://camdenresidentsbath.org/2021/12/07/liveable-neighbourhoods-consultation-closes-19th-december-2021/”>here.
