Camden’s first ever Progressive Supper
What exactly is it?
A progressive supper is a neighbourhood wide dinner party where each course is hosted in a different person’s home (within walking distance)!
Hosts only cook one course (starter or main) and eat the other courses at their neighbours’ homes.
Guests enjoy being cooked for by their generous neighbours who are hosting.
The people you eat your starter with may not be the people you eat your main with, but everyone joins together at the end for a giant pudding party.
Date & Time:
Saturday 24th February
7pm – 10:30pm
How it works:
As a host:
If you would like to be a host just fill in the form below to let us know how many others you are comfortable cooking for (can be 2, 4 or 6) and if you’d prefer to host a starter or main course. If you host a starter, you will then join another home (with different guests) for the main course. If you host a main you will enjoy a starter somewhere else and leave slightly ahead of the other guests to give you time to get home and greet your own guests.
We will let you know any dietary requirements in advance to give you time to plan. We suggest keeping it simple so you get to enjoy the evening as much as everyone else. It’s best to try and prepare as much of the meal beforehand as possible – if you’re not comfortable leaving things cooking without you there, pick recipes you can prep in advance and cook in a flash.
As a guest:
The morning of the event you will be sent the name and address of your host where you will be enjoying your starter. That host will have details given to them (in a sealed envelope) of where you will be moving on to to enjoy the main course.
After the main course we all meet up at Johanna and John’s at 15 Camden Crescent to share a pudding and a drink before heading back to your own homes at the end of what we are hoping to be a wonderful evening.
