Milestone at the Meadow
A bit of a milestone this weekend for our friends down at Camden Meadow…
Camden Meadow honey!!! 🐝🍯 This is the first ever harvest from the Meadow hives, installed by Friends of Camden Meadow and local beekeeper, Tullio, in February this year.
Just Hive 1 has been harvested this year – it came from Bath City Farm with an existing, established colony of bees. Hive 2 is new so we’re letting the bees settle in this year.
This harvest has produced just enough honey to provide a half pot each for the hard working folk at Friends of Camden Meadow. Hopefully, with two hives producing honey next year we’ll be able to distribute it a little wider.
For now, I can confirm that it’s gorgeous. We must all have some very tasty pollen in our garden flowers!

Bzzzz for now 🐝
