Local hero continues to show us the way…
On Monday evening the CRA Committee, under its new Chair, John Long, met at the Claremont to discuss, amongst other things, Camden’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Party. Afterwards we welcomed Chris to receive our gift to him to mark his retirement after 18 years of service on the committee. No doubt he will continue to be busy every Thursday after the recycling keeping his part of the street clean and tidy.
We were joined by previous Mayor and I believe the first CRA Chair, Patrick Anketell-Jones. Several of us around the table spoke of our admiration for his indomitable duty to the street. We wrote of our gratitude to him on the back of the picture – including both ward councillors and Nigel Sherwen another past CRA Chair.

So deserved! Thanks to Chris and to the committee for acknowledging Chris’s tremendous contribution.
Here’s one from Chris himself…
Many thanks for the compliments, mates. I will be continuing as the Upper Camden Place neighbourhood Watch coordinator and will continue to pick up litter.
Kind regards,
Smithius Litterpickipus.
