Reminder – the best AGM ever on Friday!
Not only do we have important and highly appropriate speakers but the Committee have made this year’s event much more hospitable and accessible. We’re using the excellent (and wheel chair friendly) top room of the Museum of Bath at Work, as well as offering virtual access via zoom. For those who can be there in person there will be drinks and nibbles available – that’s a new first too! Many thanks to Abbey Ales for the beer, Morrisons for the wine and Bertinet for the mince pies.
Whilst on the doorsteps of many residents over the last couple of weeks it is clear to us that safety on our roads is uppermost on our minds. This is an enduring theme and looks to many as though nothing tangible ever actually happens to improve things – a disaster waiting to happen. Please come and demonstrate your strength of feeling to the our speakers – it will help the CRA in its efforts to get some meaningful change implemented.
It’s important that as many as possible attend this year as we have both deputy leaders of the Council with us.
- Cllr Richard Samuel is one of our two Walcot councillors and also a Camden resident. He is a former chair of the CRA so knows first-hand what living and moving on our Camden streets is like. As Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Resources he also has a broad set of responsibilities including finance, no less.
- Cllr Sarah Warren is a Bathavon North councillor with a very prominent and challenging portfolio. Here are both their respective lists of responsibilities.
The documents for the AGM are being collated here and will be complete by Thursday this week, at the latest.
