A very brief update on Camden Meadow
As you may know, Friends of Camden Meadow, the Council’s official partner organisation for the land in front of Camden Meadow, was formed out of the CRA earlier this year.
We’ve held eight working sessions now, and achieved quite a lot. Much of the overgrown hazel has been tamed (we’ll let it come back, but in a more manageable way), making way for other plants and wildlife to enjoy the space too. And we have some of our beautiful, historic views back.
Recently, a few of us met with our two local Councillors, Tom Davies and Richard Samuel, to install a small informational sign on the railings at the Camden Crescent bus stop, kindly funded by Tom and Richard from their (modest) discretionary local budget. With a little text, a QR code and a web address, it’s just a nice way to explain to local people and passers by alike what is being done here.
