Camden’s sitting ducks
So the saga continues…
Another car damage episode this morning to the car of one of our new residents and new committee member. For those of us who’ve endured speeding, contention and just too much traffic this is not only bad luck but inevitable, I’m afraid. A serious prang happens every two years and the last one I’m aware of was in June 2019 so it had to happen this year.
Less serious mirror breakages and scrapes are regrettably a fact of life here. This is one reason for us campaigning so hard for a Liveable Neighbourhood.
Just to add to the weight of our bid we are asking for your help.
- can anyone provide any information regarding last night/this morning’s prang?
- can anyone who has suffered car damage by another party provide very brief details of what, where, when and how much to fix, so we can compile an estimate of the cost of having an RPZ 15 parking permit.
Simply reply to this post with any details you have.
Sorry -forgot to mention this took place on Upper Camden Place.
Should be really easy to polish out. Do you want some help with it? Hardly a serious collision, I do more damage to my car reversing into my drive.
Seriously, get in touch if you want some help polishing it out, got some “back to black” somewhere.
Hi
As it’s a dent that has bucked the bodywork and removed the paint perhaps it’s a little past polishing out. The cost for re spaying and mending the side van will be around £2500 plus vat
This is the second time it has happened!
The insurance excess is £450 each time.
My car has been dented while parked near Lower Camden Place on a number of occasions. Mostly minor dents but once (2015?) the wing was stove in and cost in excess of £400 to fix. Also one wing mirror knocked off.
Thanks, Christopher.
That sounds like £1000 overall, if you sorted them all out. Just trying to get to a rough estimate from as many as possible and top it up.
One mirror in 4 years for me – famous last words!
