Sometimes we forget how amazing Bath is despite our local issues
Here’s a new website to support the launch of ‘Bath Unlimited’. They say:
You may be surprised to find that Bath and North East Somerset is home to some amazing businesses, often global leaders in their field. What glues them together?
We think it’s their unlimited capacity for imagination, ambition to grow and developing their talent for the future.

And now is a good time to see how ‘amazing’ it could be for Camden residents who live on and use Camden Road and other local cut throughs if we could turn this area into a ‘Low Traffic Neighbourhood’.

| After the ‘Massive Bang’ in June many of us have said we have to return Camden Road to being a street life which is full of life again. We get glimpses of it when the snow falls. This is not ‘Fortress Camden’ – we are open to all who want use our road on foot, bike or bus. |

| Wholeheartedly supported. Necessary on so many levels. Traffic needs to be pushed back down onto the London Road. And the London Road needs sorting. Further pressure must come to bear to divert HGV and through-traffic around Bath. |

| Traffic has got steadily worse even in the last two years. Pollution noticeably worse too. |
| Camden Road is dangerous due to speeding vehicles, oversized vehicles and extreme traffic, not to mention the CO2 and NOX. Something must be done to limit its use to residents and their visitors. |

| I am not sure of the practicalities but I am sure that something needs to be done. I don’t want to benefit if other people are going to be disadvantaged but we do need to start somewhere and we need to encourage walking, cycling and public transport, not more SUVs please. |
| It is a laudable aim to try to create a LTN for Camden etc. It will be difficult to achieve but a start needs to be made. We do have to greatly reduce the need to use private cars not only for health, safety and peace but also for climate change reasons. |
| We must discourage the use of private cars in every way, for the climate and for our wellbeing. I lead a ‘walk to school bus’ along Camden rd and less traffic would be safer, healthier and more relaxed for the kids. Thanks for all you are doing |
| We used to live on Camden Road with our small children and dreaded taking them down the road to nursery as there was so much traffic during rush hour. Now we live on Marshfield Way and it is also used by drivers racing up the hill. |

| I live with my young family on Eastbourne Avenue and aggressive, irresponsible driving is a daily occurrence. I love my street, its mix of families and older people makes for a great community but it could be greatly improved by becoming a low traffic neighbourhood. |

| This idea is a “must” for Camden Road. Its dangerously busy. |
| We live in the house where the accident occurred, the car crashed into our gate. I have 2 young children(5&2). I struggle to get them into the car in the am for fear of a bus or car hitting us.My son was v nearly hit by a tourist bus last week. I live in constant fear of this road. |
| More important to prevent traffic coming in to Bath, A46 connected to A36 and a park and ride on the East side, But of course a LTN would be nice. |

| I spend a lot of time in Bath at my parents’/second(!) home and am always surprised that such a historic city is not more pleasant for pedestrians and cyclists. |
| I’m very interested in improving the Camden Road area and increasing the shift to more sustainable travel modes. I am however concerned about creating significant adverse impacts on neighbouring areas, and on the lives of residents with NE Bath who may genuinely need to drive. |

| I strongly support this. We have lived along Camden Road for 14 years. During this time it has transformed from a residential street to something that resembles a busy A road most of the day. This affects the air quality, quality of life and safety of the residents. |
