Spectacular 8pm clap for all front line workers in Belgrave Crescent…
Local resident, Richard Perkins, of Belgrave Crescent performed Misirlou outside his house and was joined by his neighbours who clapped and cheered along. Last week he made a three minute video that includes clips of students playing outside their homes. Please watch it here and share and hopefully this will give every student the confidence to take part this week.
Once again he challenges all his students to perform Misirlou outside their own homes during the Clap for the front line workers at 8pm tomorrow. He says, “please film your performance (landscape not portrait) and send to my WhatsApp (07977 580 129) or if you have a larger file please use https://wetransfer.com/ GUITAR LESSON BOOT CAMP“.
Richard has been running his daily online Guitar Lesson Boot Camp sessions for school age students (avail. Mon-Fri). This initiative is fitting in really well with home schooling lessons and is instilling good practice habits and establish a regular routine during this unprecedented time. Get in touch here.

If you live nearby then clap and clatter from your front doors, windows, gardens or garages, or otherwise wait for his next video composite.
And here‘s a video of the spectacular performance on Thursday, 30th April.
Richard tells me he’s spent 8 hours editing this week’s video, a link to which I’ve no added to the post above. What’s he going to do next?!
After the 2 occasions last week of residents of Belgrave crescent not social distancing and having street parties on Thursday and again on Friday (much to the annoyance of seymore r d residents as they used Seymour rd to set tables up) please make them aware that they have been reported to the council.
