Local help and support for those stuck at home because of the Coronavirus issue
There’s a mass movement going on around the country to help those self isolating at home. This is our contribution to this for those living in the Camden district of Bath. The CRA is here, hoping to link up those in need with other residents who can help. There are roughly 400 dwellings in Camden and we have 218 email subscribers so we can get off to a great start.
Just fill in this form on-line here and we’ll be in touch soon after.
If we can muster support, we’ll do a leaflet drop shortly too. Any offers of help for this gratefully received too – just use the form above to register your offer of help.
Thanks in advance and to those on the Committee who are actively assisting in getting this off the ground.
Jeremy, Chair CRA
Thank you for the first 10 responses in the first two hours. Interestingly they are all offers of help and support. We have no requests for help as yet. we’re collectively here to help now so please do ask.
Two things came up today, both of which I cannot formally recommend because I’m not qualified or insured!
1. A vulnerable person, when I checked, did not have a thermometer so she could not check for one of the two main symptoms of CV. She managed, very luckily, to get one from her local pharmacy. Amazon are in stock but she could not get a delivery till 14/04! There’s a moral in there somewhere.
2. Anti-inflammatory tablets like ibruprofen are definitely not recommended for Coronavirus. There’s no paracetamol in the selection of shops we tried today! Apparently it has just appeared on the TV news.
The leaflet drop is starting this afternoon and should complete tomorrow.
