Low Traffic Neighbourhood Campaign
Thanks again to the 50 people who attended our AGM last week and to those who found the time to write to us afterwards – all supportive, some constructively critical too. We are drawing a lot of positives from this and we will be considering setting up a Campaign Group to manage our progress. This will be discussed at the new Committee’s first meeting on 17th December.
The graph shows our progress, as of end of November, which is building promisingly towards the target of 200, which represents half of the households in Camden as we define it. All the messages of concern and support are most heartening too. The early ones can be found here and here’s a very powerful one from yesterday…
Do please encourage your neighbours to consider what we are campaigning for and subscribe if at all possible. If you need to know more try reading through our ‘20 questions‘.
We organise the Lower Camden Place Neighbourhood Watch and have contacted our members to encourage them to sign the petition to contact our councillor and MP, to join the CRA and to get involved. Setting up a pressure group sounds an excellent idea. We need to speak ( loudly) with one voice. Kit and Rosy Routledge
Many thanks, Kit and Rosy. This is exactly what we need. Your nearest committee members are John Long and Chris Smith – I guess you know them both.
we’re at 88 this evening. It would be great to bust 100 by Saturday 30th! That would mean we’re 50% there.
