AGM tomorrow
If you are reading this on Wednesday 20th November – well done, you’re highly connected! The AGM is on Thursday 21st at 19:30, at the Claremont Community Centre. We’d love to see you there at this really important time. As with previous tradition we’ll retire to the pub afterwards and talk in a more relaxed way.
All the relevant documents are on the website here. The bulk of the meeting will be devoted to a debate on our campaign for a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) for Camden and NE Bath which could absolutely transform Camden Road, Eastbourne Avenue, Hawarden Terrace and beyond to the far end of St Saviours Road. This is an extraordinarily propitious time for this initiative.
We have virtually all our local councillors with us. For many this will be the first time to meet those that were elected for the first time in May. We are keen for them to get a measure of the level of support for the campaign.
As I write this we have now got 51 signatures on our campaign here and will hope to get another 50 tomorrow. We’re ultimately looking for 200, at least.
The title picture has a story behind it which will become clear tomorrow!
Jeremy Labram, Chair CRA
Well the story behind the picture did not become clear last night. It was a hint at sorting out the 6 way junction at Lansdown Road. We though making the existing crossing points into zebra crossings would be a good thing. If so then we’d get the remaining two Beatles to open and pose as per the cover of their Abbey Road Album.
